Festival Faire
Festival Faire 2022 was a multi-faceted event this year, with an in-person event plus a multi-day online auction so that more friends could participate in supporting the Young Artists Scholarships ("YAS") and world-class concerts.
The in-person gala at the Sunriver Resort Great Hall on July 10th was an intimate evening of beautiful music, inspiring stories, and friendly reunions! Together, we renewed our commitment to the future of music by raising $24,800 straight into the scholarship fund during the "Fund-A-Scholar" paddle raise.
Live performances were shared by current YAS recipient Joel Newman, baritone, age 17 and, in a delightful treat, by Joel's voice teacher Jimena Shepherd, YAS alumna, which highlights the generational benefits of these scholarships for advanced young musicians! Joel and Jimena each sang two solos and closed the evening with a breathtaking duet of "The Prayer".
The accompanying online auction ran for 6 days and was a joyful way to include Festival supporters from all around the continent as we all join together, in-person and virtually, to strengthen the Young Artists Scholarships program.
