YAS Spotlight on Nicholas Wavers

YAS 25TH ANNIVERSARY STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

Nicholas Wavers (Countertenor) was a YAS recipient from 2013-2017. He graduated from Portland State University in June of 2019 with his Bachelors of Music: Emphasis in Voice. He resides in Portland still, working on independent projects at this time. Today, Nicholas shares:

"The incredible support bestowed to me by the Sunriver Music Festival Young Artist Scholarship allowed me to advance my artistry and pursue my calling as a performer. This year marking the 25th Anniversary of the Young Artist Scholarship, I celebrate their mission to assist upcoming young artists with this piece, Barb’ry Allen, arranged by Jake Heggie. Accompanying me is my wonderful voice teacher, Mezzo-Soprano Hannah Penn. I express my sincerest gratitude."
