YAS Spotlight on Kaia Kochersberger
YAS 25TH ANNIVERSARY STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
While formal piano instruction started five years ago at the age of 7, flute lessons at the age of 9, and voice lessons just two years ago at the age of 10, Kaia Kochersberger has always had music in her heart. Whether it be through dance, through art, or through the simple act of listening to music, she has enjoyed expressing herself with creativity and joy. She has seen the power that music has through her great-grandfather, who, even near the end of his life, would respond to favorite songs and move to music, even when his words failed. Whether it is participating in the Youth Choir of Central Oregon, Central Oregon Youth Orchestra, or performing with her piano studio, Kaia understands the importance of practice and hard work and she hopes to continue playing music for many years to come.
This is Kaia's first year as a Sunriver Music Festival YAS recipient.
