Outdoor Concert Series

The Summer Festival continues as the landmark event of Sunriver Music Festival for the last 40+ years.

Looking to the future! Summer Festival 2021 offers the unique opportunity to experience our two outstanding Artistic Director finalists KELLY KUO and BRETT MITCHELL in action as they lead the Festival Orchestra in 2 Classical Concerts each PLUS they share the stage in a special Pops Concert. 

Classical Concert I – August 14, 2021 – Sunriver SHARC Amphitheatre, 6:00 p.m.

Pops Concert – August 18, 2021 - Sunriver SHARC Amphitheatre, 6:00 p.m.
Featuring Guest Conductors Kelly Kuo AND Brett Mitchell co-hosting from the piano with multiple duos and small ensembles. Festival Orchestra musicians will join the maestros in impressive arrangements of well-known tunes including "Bohemian Rhapsody", a "Fiddler on the Roof" medley, hits from Toto, A-Ha, and the beloved John Williams.

Solo Piano Concert – August 20, 2021 – Besson Commons, 6:00 p.m.
Featuring Cliburn medalist Daniel Hsu
Join us as Cliburn medalist Daniel Hsu, recognized for his easy virtuosity and bold musicianship, presents a powerful, thoughtful, and sensitive solo performance.

COVID-19 Statement as of August 1, 2021: Sunriver Music Festival follows all current CDC and OHA guidelines pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic and expects participants to do the same. All Festival staff, Board of Trustees, and musicians have been vaccinated and we encourage everyone who qualifies to also be vaccinated, though we are not requiring it of audience members and outdoor volunteers. 

The majority of Festival activities occur outside. If you’re inside, expect to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status as this is the current state requirement. If wearing a mask outside also works well for you, please do so. We will continue to observe CDC/OHA guidelines and adjust this policy as needed. Flexibility and grace are key! Thanks in advance for your understanding and for helping make the music happen!
