The Annual "Young Artist Scholarship Program" will be accepting applications in April of 2008 from aspiring young music students who have an eye on the future in the field of music.

Each year, classical music students from Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook counties submit a comprehensive application, complete with letters of reference, personal essays, school transcripts and a selected repertoire of music representing three different classical periods. 

First time applicants must also submit a recording of two prepared pieces for review by the seven-panel adjudicator committee before being selected for an audition.

 
Applications are due:
Friday April 25, 2008

Auditions will be
May 30, 31 and June 1, 2008

Recital will be held at
Holy Trinity Church
Sunday, June 8, 2008 7:00 pm

A total of $22,000 in scholarship money was awarded to deserving music students between $100 - $3,000 to go toward musical instrument purchases, music camps, private lessons or tuition.
