The Annual "Young Artist Scholarship Program" will be accepting applications in April of 2009. Eligible students are from Central Oregon who are classical music students and have an eye on the future in the field of classical music

Each year, classical music students from Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook counties submit a comprehensive application, complete with letters of reference, personal essays, school transcripts and a selected repertoire of music representing three different classical periods. 

First time applicants must also submit a recording of two prepared pieces for review by the seven-panel adjudicator committee before being selected for an audition.

April 24, 2009

Auditions will be the weekend of:
May 29, 30 & 31, 2009

Young Artist Scholarship Concert
will be held at
The Tower Theatre - Bend
Friday, June 5, 2009

A total of $22,000 in scholarship money was awarded to deserving music students between $100 - $3,000 to go toward musical instrument purchases, music camps, private lessons or tuition.
