Hailed as a charismatic rising star, 28-year-old American pianist Sean Chen was third prize winner at the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, recipient of the DeHaan Classical Fellowship as the winner of the 2013 American Pianists Awards, and recently named a 2015 fellow by the prestigious Leonore Annenberg Fellowship Fund for the Performing Arts. C.F. Kip Winger - composer

C.F. Kip Winger was nominated for a 2017 Grammy for Best Contemporary Classical Composition for his debut Classical Release “Conversations With Nijinsky.” After a top-40 career touring with rock legends and establishing his band “Winger”, he turned his attention back to his first love of classical concert music and dance. The Festival is proud to honor Thompson’s retirement and musical contributions to Central Oregon.
